Technology Update 2018-19

Watch this Google slide deck to see the technology updates and changes that are happening in 2019-20!

Strive

Teachers will now use the goal setting part of Strive instead of the Teacher Self-Assessment. Teachers will be able to set professional goals. To access directions for getting started, go to the Strive (Teacher Handout) document.

Blended Learning

Temple ISD is in the first year of the Blended Learning district rollout plan. There is a cohort (team) of teachers at each campus participating in the formal Cohort 1 process. Everyone else that is interested in Blended Learning is invited to use the resources on the Blended Learning discovery site: https://blended.gcloud.tisd.org. You will have to be logged into your "gcloud" Google account to access this site.

GoGuardian Teacher

Teachers in grades 2-12 will use GoGuardian Teacher instead of Hapara to help with classroom Chromebook management this year.

Sign up for the GoGuardian Teacher course to learn how to use GoGuardian Teacher. This online course is broken up into small modules, but the entire course can be completed in less than an hour!

When you are ready to get started, to go teacher.goguardian.com, click the "Log in with Google" button, then click "I Agree" (twice).

Passwords

Staff and student passwords have changed this year. If you don't remember your password, contact the HelpDesk. To help students with their passwords, see this video or handout.

Edpuzzle (School Edition)

We now have the School Edition of Edpuzzle. The School Edition includes unlimited access to the "My School" channel. Teachers can share content and co-create videos that will be available for anyone in the district to use. To get started, click here. You will need to use the access codes on this link to activate the school version.

Edpuzzle offers several online certification courses. Get certified in EdPuzzle, gamification, personalized learning, and much more!
